Top eights of the men's individual emerge

All the three Korean archers were ejected from the men's individual 1/8 eliminations of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 International Archery Tournament today. Australia, the US, France, Chinese Taipei, Malaysia, the UK, Japan and Poland each had one entering the next phase.

Korean Australian Sky Kim, who placed first in the ranking round, outscored 110-104 Ilario Di Buo of Italy in the 1/8 eliminations.

Kim's next rival is Wang Chengbang of Chinese Taipei, who upset his teammate Guo Chengwei 111-103 today.

Brady Ellison of the US, in today's match, outdid Balzhinima Tsyrempilov of Russia 112-108. The latter was ranked fifth in the ranking round.

Romain Girouille of France, settled for 13th in the ranking round, continued to score 110+ in the eliminations. Today he beat South Korean Im Dong Hyun 111-108 to enter the quarterfinals.

Cheng Chu Sian of Malaysia stumbled into the quarter via edging out Kim Yeon Chul of South Korea 107-106.

The UK's Simon Terry, ranked sixth in the ranking round, ousted Jacek Proc of Poland 110-103 today.

The seventh-ranked Takaharu Furukawa of Japan outscored 1 point to beat China's Jiang Lin.

In the clash between Rafal Dobrowolski of Poland and South Korean top seed Lee Chang Hwan, the Polish outlived in the overtime by 1 point.

The men's individual 1/4, 1/2 and the final will be held this afternoon with the gold match slated for 17:34.
