"Good Luck Beijing" 2007 International Archery Tournament entered its last day competition at the Olympic Green Archery Field today and the men's individual medals will be produced.The men's individual 1/8 eliminations will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:29 a.m. The men's individual quarterfinals, semifinals, bronze medal match and gold medal match will be held from 4 p.m. to 6:10 p.m..
In the men's individual eliminations held on August 24, 60 archers from 24 countries and regions competed for the round of 16. After hours of intense competition, the top 16 for the men's individual finals were decided, including three from the Republic of Korea, two each from Chinese Taipei and Poland, and one each from Russia, the United States, Malaysia, Australia, France, Great Britain, Italy, Japan and host China.
The women's individual final concluded on August 25. As a result, Sung-Hyun Park of KOR edged Poland's Justyna Mospinek 114-112 to take the women's individual crown. Justyna Mospinek and teammate Malgorzata Cwienczek took the silver and bronze medals respectively.
The men's team gold medal match concluded on August 22, with KOR outscoring Malaysia 281-215 to win the title. The United States beat Chinese Taipei to take the bronze.
In the women's team final ended on August 21, POK won the crown after an easy victory of 218-211 over Russia.
A total of 113 archers and 32 teams from 27 countries and regions take part in the competitiom of four events (all recurved bow), namely men's individual and team and women's individual and team.
