The women's individual final of the 2007 International Archery Tournament concluded at the Olympic Green Archery Field on August 25. As a result, Sung-Hyun Park of KOR edged Poland's Justyna Mospinek 114-112 to take the women's individual crown. Justyna Mospinek and teammate Malgorzata Cwienczek took the silver and bronze medals respectively.
Mospinek and Park finished first and second in the ranking round respectively. In today's final, they measured their mental strength with each other, with the title remaining undecided until the last three arrows.
Mospinek hit three 10pts in the first end, one point more than her opponent. In the second, Park fought back to level the score 58-58. In the third and last end, the two archers drew again and pushed the match to an extra.
In the extra, Mospinek hit 10 and 9 with the first two arrows, while Park got two full marks to lead 105-104.
With her last arrow the Polish archer scored 8pts, her worst in the entire match, while the more experienced Park lost no time to score 9pts and win the title by two points.
In the bronze-medal match, Malgorzata Cwienczek of Poland beat Viktoria Koval of Ukraine 112-108 to take the bronze.
