Zhang Juanjuan enters women's individual last 8

China's Zhang Juanjuan outscored her French counterpart Berengere Schuh 109-106 to qualify for the top 8 of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 International Archery Tournament today.

China's hopeful Zhang finished 13th after the ranking round and ousted her opponents of Malaysia and Russia later to the 1/8 eliminations.

Berengere Schuh placed 4th in the ranking round and directly cruised into the second round eliminations in which she fended off a archer from the UK entering the next phase.

In today's match, Zhang and Schuh each scored 8 in the first arrow and Schuh trailed 1 point after the first round.

Zhang gradually extended her advantage and won by a 3-point lead.

The world record of the event is held by POK archer at 118.
