The 1/32 eliminations of the 2007 International Archery Tournament opened at the Olympic Green Archery Field on August 24. As a result, China's Yong Fujun lost to Marco Galiazzo of Italy 108-110 to be out of the 1/16 eliminations.

Commenting on today's match, Yong expressed, "I feel not bad. Judging by my recent form, I performed quite all right."

In today's competition, Yong drew with his Italian opponent 56-56 when the first half was over. For the first arrow in the third round, Yong scored only 6 points. Despite fighting hard with the following arrows, he still lost by a narrow margin of 2 points. "I was not affected by my technical error in the third round and did well afterwards," he said.

Yong said that he had gained a lot from the tournament. "This is equivalent to an Olympic rehearsal," he said.

Talking about the Asian Archery Championships to be staged in Xi'an next month, Yong said he would try his best to take a medal.

Speaking of Jiang Lin, the only Chinese archer qualified for the 1/16 eliminations, Yong said, "He is likely to move on. Then I will go to the field to cheer him on."
