China's archer Jiang Lin, in his elimination matches of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 International Archery Tournament, outscored both Ryuichi Moriya of Japan and Juan Rene Serrano Gutierrez of Mexico by small margins to qualify for the last sixteen of the event.

Placed 42nd in the ranking round, Jiang took on Ryuichi Moriya of Japan in the 1/32 match. He kept a stable form and never gave opportunity to his rival, leading 53-52 after first half and wining 106-105 after the second.

In today's 1/16 match, Jiang met Juan Rene Serrano Gutierrez of Mexico, who settled for 10th in the ranking games. The two traded points until Jiang made an X in the last arrow.

The referee then corrected a former 9 of the Mexican to 10 and the two were pulled into overtime.

Both scored 8 in the first round but Jiang outplayed 10-9 in the second to cruise into next phase.
