On the morning Aug. 21, the women's team 1/8 eliminations of "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 International Archery Tournament was held at the Olympic Green Archery Field. Chinese team who scored 212 was eliminated by British team (215), losing the chance to enter the quarterfinals.
Consisting of Zhang Juanjuan, He Ying and Guo Dan, the Chinese team ranked second in the world, but in the ranking round yesterday, they didn’t perform well and only placed 6th with 1911, thus to meet Great Britain who ranked No.3 in the world in today’s women's team 1/8 eliminations .
The British team placed 11th in the ranking round yesterday. In today’s competition the Chinese girls were still not in good competitive mood and only scored 212, three points less than the British team and finally lost the chance to go further.
British archers are Charlotte Buress, Naomi Folkard and Alison Williamson. They scored 215, beating the Chinese team to enter into the Top 8.
Tian Yuling, coach of the Chinese women archery team said after the match, “Our archers didn’t play well today, which may be caused by tension.”
