A series of sports events themed "Good Luck Beijing" will be held from July 2007 to June 2008. Among the 26 events to be held this year, 23 will be held in Beijing and Equestrian in Hong Kong, Sailing in Qingdao, International Women's Football Tournament in Shenyang and Qinhuangdao. In 2008, there will be another 16 to be held prior to the Olympic Games in August.
