The "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 International Archery Tournament is to open on August 20. The organizing committee held a pre-event press conference on August 19. At the press conference, deputy media manager Chen Ping briefed the media on the media services during the tournament.

According to Chen, the written press zone, which covers an area of 250 square meters and is located at the Olympic Green Archery Field in the north of the Olympic Park, can accommodate 80 journalists and provide all the facilities and services for directly editing and transmitting documents from the venue. In comparison with the written press zone, the photographic press zone is also well-prepared, which provides 30 work booths to photographers, each equipped with a collapsible table and a cabinet for results. Before the competition, the photographic manager will hold a pre-event briefing  and distribute photographic vests marked with "Photo".

Sufficient working staff and free bottled water will be provided in the media zone to ensure the smooth progress of the event coverage. China Mobile and China Netcom will establish a special sales counter in the media zone. Besides, the organizing committee has set up a cozy rest area, where free snacks, various hot and cold drinks and seasonal fruits will be available.

At the press conference, Chen stressed that the rest area would provide journalists with the meal coupons for lunch and supper from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. every day,.

After the press conference, the journalists had a tour of the archery field and the media zone.
