(BEIJING, August 12) -- The Olympic Green Archery Field has been completed recently.
As a venue for the archery competitions of the 2008 Olympic Games, it will see the male and female athletes vying for four gold medals.
From August 20-26, 2007, it will be used for Good luck Beijing 2007 International Archery Tournament.
One of the eight temporary venues of the Beijing Olympics, the project was started on December 28, 2005.
Located in the Olympic Green, the field adjoins the Olympic Tennis Center in the north and the Olympic Hockey Field in the south. With a total area of 9.22 hectares, it covers a floor space of 8,609 square meters, including a stand of 1,815 square meters. The venue has three courts, including one for ranking games and two for medal rounds.
Four bus lines are operating along the field now and a new subway line running to the area will be put in use in 2008.
