Rally for lodging and food supply services for "Good Luck Beijing" sports events held

The organizing committee of "Good Luck Beijing" sport events held the rally for lodging and food supply services for "Good Luck Beijing" sports events this afternoon, the meeting reported the progress of preparations for the lodging and food supply services for "Good Luck Beijing" sports events and make comprehensive arrangements for such work as lodging reception, food supply and food safety monitoring.

Also, the stressed that all units should strictly organize production and supply according to the safety standards of Olympic food, rigorously control the supply channels of the raw materials for Olympic catering and guarantee the smoothness of the food supply chain so as to ensure the perfect safety of Olympic food. The receiving teams at all venues shall take the opportunity of "Good Luck Beijing" sports events, train themselves and improve their business capacity and working level so as to build up skillful, hard and united working teams.

42 receiving hotels, 12 catering service providers and 32 raw materials suppliers have been determined for 2007 "Good Luck Beijing" sports events. Through the rehearsal of "Good Luck Beijing" sports events, the operation of lodging receiving hotels, the operation of catering service, the operation of food supply service and food safety test and monitoring will be tested and enhanced comprehensively, further run in all work interfaces and key links and improve their business level and work level so as to accumulate rich work experience and lay a solid foundation for the lodging and food supply services during the holding of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Over 200 leaders from Beijing Municipal Government, relevant departments of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG), commercial bureaus and tourism bureaus in all districts and counties, Olympic food sponsors, alternative Olympic catering materials suppliers, Olympic catering service providers and receiving hotels attended the meeting.
